The Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis’ (JFGI) 2023 Annual Campaign has officially kicked off, and you are invited to support your community with a meaningful gift! Through your gift to the Federation and its partners, you are able to combat antisemitism, connect and support community members through critical programs and services,
and build on the dream of a better and safer world for future generations.

This year’s theme is The Power of Us. It serves as a reminder that while individual gifts are always an immediate source of help, when those gifts are combined throughout the community, their impact grows exponentially. Community campaigns leverage JFGI’s ability to tackle systemic issues, encourage others to join in the effort, and ultimately build a lasting legacy of giving and gratitude for a better world.

One challenge facing the Indianapolis community and world today is the rise in Jew hate. Jews are now experiencing antisemitism in more ways than ever before, such as online, at work, in local neighborhoods, schools, and college campuses. Across Indiana, recent incidents have included vandalism, antisemitic flyers, and bigoted remarks by elected officials. A gift to the Annual Campaign provides the necessary dollars to strengthen partnerships with law enforcement, the Secure Community Network, JCRC, ADL and more. These funds also help provide security for Jewish spaces throughout the community, support rapid response efforts related to antisemitism, and offer educational opportunities to Jews and non-Jews.

A gift totheunrestricted AnnualCampaign supports nearly all the programs and services that the community has to offer and ensures JFGI has the infrastructure necessary to sustain its operations for the benefit of the community. Your Federation is also prioritizing recruiting, engaging and equipping the next generation of Jewish leaders. In 2022, JFGI launched the inaugural 36 Under 36 cohort and successfully completed the Prystowsky ATID V cohort. This year, the Federation is connecting these leaders with agencies, synagogues and other Jewish organizations in order to expand their impact through service on boards and committees.
