How long have you lived in Indianapolis? 6 years

Describe yourself in 100 words or less: I am an outgoing, kind, caring member of the community, who values family, professional growth, and a culture built on respect. While I grew up in the Washington, DC area, Indianapolis has been my home since 2018, and I am proud to have built roots here for my family to be part of this community for a long time to come. Now looking to expand those roots, I am focused on becoming more involved in Indianapolis’ Jewish community.

How do you give back? I am proud to give back through my involvement as a board member of the Herbie Cohen Memorial Fund (HCMF). As a kid, I was fortunate to be able to spend many summers at a Jewish summer camp in Pennsylvania. I made life-long friends, learned valuable lessons and developed skills I use in my personal and professional life each day. While I was able to experience this, so many children are not in positions where their families can afford this opportunity. The HCMF was set up by alumni of my summer camp to provide scholarships to underprivileged youth to attend camp for a summer, spend time outside of difficult situations and experience the summer of a lifetime. The HCMF also provides scholarships for both children with disabilities as well as those with Cancer to attend summer camps suited to their needs, empowering them to enjoy their summers just the same as any other kid, free of barriers. I am passionate about my role in the HCMF, serving on both the Fundraising Committee and Communications Committee, as part of my position on the Board of Directors. Camp was such a meaningful experience for me growing up, and I love having the opportunity to help others experience this joy. In fact, to this day I am still friends with several fellow campers who attended camp on a HCMF scholarship.

Celebrity Doppleganger: Leonardo DiCaprio, obviously

Who is a Jew who inspires you? Adam Sandler

How do you envision the Indianapolis Jewish community in the next 10 years? As I become more involved with Indianapolis' Jewish community, I am encouraged by the engagement of young professionals and believe that will help us thrive over the next 10 years. At the same time, it will be critical - as it always unfortunately is - for us not to let our guard down as antisemitism persists and changes how it manifests in the community.

What is your proudest accomplishment in the past 10 years? My son Oliver

Any advice for younger professionals? Your reputation is the best investment you can make at this point in your career. Work hard, network, and be nice to people. Doing all three of these things is so important and will undoubtedly help you get to where you want to go.
