How long have you lived in Indianapolis? 34 years

Describe yourself in 100 words or less: I’m an Indy native and a longtime member of Congregation Beth Shalom. I’m an avid reader, knitter, and traveler. I’m lucky to be an aunt to the greatest kids around, and my husband and I are parents to four crazy cats! My life goals are to travel to every continent and to own a yarn shop.

How do you give back? I’m on the board of directors for Congregation Beth Shalom, as well as the co-chair for the CBS Caring Circle. I volunteer with the fundraising and social action committees and assist with CBS’s library.

Who is a Jew who inspires you? My mama, Linda Hann

How do you envision the Indianapolis Jewish community in the next 10 years? I would love to see the community here grow and see more young adults get involved.

What is your proudest accomplishment in the past 10 years? I bought my own house! It took a lot of hard work and independence, but I’m proud of doing it on my own (though with support from friends and family).

Any advice for younger professionals? Work to form a community - that support will help more than you can imagine.
