Prystowsky ATID V Leadership Cohort Travels, Arrives in Israel!

By Jon Shapiro

As we met each other at the Indianapolis airport this morning (Thursday, April 28), it was a somewhat surreal feeling. Our ATID Israel trip was actually happening; it was hard to believe the time had arrived. Our cohort has had quite the unique experience. We were only able to meet twice in person prior to the pandemic, and the remainder of our sessions occurred virtually. This was our third attempt to travel together. I guess the third time is the charm!

Meeting up with each other, catching up and beginning this long overdue journey has been a reunion of sorts. And it’s been so wonderful to do so in person! We traveled from Indy to Newark, chatting and laughing throughout. Some of us even got our sneakers cleaned and became friends with the staff at Bub’s.

We had some time at Newark to relax, eat and shop before the flight to Tel Aviv.

For some, this is a first trip to Israel, for others we’ve been many times. Regardless, each time is special and different-and this will be true this time. Prystowsky ATID V is off to explore our homeland; learn, laugh and break bread together. And we could not be more excited!
