How long have you lived in Indianapolis? 3 years (grew up in Bloomington)

Describe yourself in 100 words or less: I'm a mom to two young kids and a journalist. I wake up in the middle of the night to tell stories important to central Indiana on WISH-TV's DayBreak morning show. I have a passion for telling stories important to our community and my odd hour's help give me plenty of time with my kids and family in the afternoons. This platform has also allowed me to open people's eyes to stories happening in the Jewish Community and see someone in the public, who is in an interfaith marriage raise their children with multiple holidays and traditions. My family immigrated to the Southside of Indianapolis in the 1920s and helped establish the Sephardic Jewish community here and I am very proud of this history.

How do you give back? I am lucky that my work allows me to help give back to the community, by telling stories that impact the Jewish Community.

Who is a Jew who inspires you? My father (Gil Mordoh)

How do you envision the Indianapolis Jewish community in the next 10 years? I envision the Jewish Community in Indianapolis to be more well-known across all cultures and continue to thrive, be inclusive, and embraced in Indiana. I see the community as a leader in celebrating the wide variety of backgrounds and cultures that do exist in our state.

What is one thing you look forward to as we come out of this Pandemic? Getting to attend more public events and help my children experience public places. I have an 11-month-old and a 3-year-old, so both have missed many "normal" activities during the pandemic.

What is your proudest accomplishment in the past 10 years? My children, then my career

Any advice for younger professionals? Stay positive. My father gave me great advice when I entered the workforce and I use it still today. Remember the 4 agreements daily: -Be Impeccable With Your Word. -Don't Take Anything Personally. -Don't Make Assumptions. -Always Do Your Best.
