How long have you lived in Indianapolis? 30+ years

Describe yourself in 100 words or less: I was born and raised in Indianapolis and have spent most of my adult life here. I attended Hasten Hebrew Academy through 8th grade and then went to North Central High School before studying Finance at IU Bloomington. About 10 years ago, I met my wife, Olivia. We live on the north side of Indianapolis with our three children, Violet, Izzy, and Birdie. I love to travel, cook, build things, and spend time with my family. Professionally, I am a tax attorney and serve on the JCC Board of Directors.

How do you give back? I try to give back in a few different ways: 1) I am currently on the JCC Board of Directors; 2) I typically do about 50-100 hours of pro bono legal work a year, including helping parents obtain guardianship of their adult children with disabilities as well as estate planning for first responders and older, low-income individuals; and 3) donate to synagogues and Jewish organizations throughout Indianapolis.

How do you envision the Indianapolis Jewish community in the next 10 years? In the next 10 years, I envision the Indianapolis Jewish community growing stronger and more close-knit. An emphasis on diversity and inclusivity will help create a welcoming environment for all members. Community centers, like our JCC, will continue to foster connections in and throughout the community through social, cultural, and recreational activities. I foresee local organizations coming together to address broader societal issues to help create an engaged and safe community.

What is your proudest accomplishment in the past 10 years? My proudest accomplishment is shared with my wife, Olivia, with the creation of our three amazing children.
