Christy Morris, Senior Services Social Worker

Christy is a native Hoosier and was born and raised in the West Lafayette area. Christy graduated from Manchester University, formerly Manchester College, in 1993 with a BA in Social Work. She went on to obtain an MSW from Indiana University in 2002. Christy has been an employee of both for-profit and non-profit agencies, and prefers to work with non-profit agencies, because the values that the agencies have reflect her own personal values. She began working with Federation in 2006. Christy and Lori Moss had worked together providing services to an older adult in the community while Christy was at another agency.  When she saw a job opening, working with Lori, a respected social worker in the community, and for the Jewish Federation, a well-established non-profit organization with a similar value set, Christy knew she wanted to be a part of the organization. Christy and her husband Curt have two children, Sarah, age 8, and Nathan, age 3. Christy has a fear of heights, but was persuaded by her husband and best friend to go parasailing over the Caribbean and loved it!
