2014 State House Candidate’s Forum

On Tuesday, October 21, the JCRC conducted its 2014 State House Candidates Forum. This year the targeted races included Senate District 29—Senator Mike Delph (R), the incumbent, versus the challenger Mr. J.D. Ford (D)—which encompasses portions of southern Hamilton and northern Marion Counties; and House District 87—Incumbent Christina Hale (D) versus challenger Michael Friedman (R)—which covers north-central portions of Marion County. The program was moderated by Amos Brown, host of “Afternoons with Amos” and Managing Editor of WTLC-AM1310. Audience members provided the candidates with insightful questions, which led to a spirited discussion on many topics including budget, health care, and education.
