KAVOD Holocaust survivors will share their refugee stories, followed by reflections from the artists who developed the Art & Refugees: Shine The Light exhibit.

Art & Refugees: Shine the Light is a multi-arts exhibit from project director and playwright Deborah Haber that highlights the complex intersection of art and refugees, telling a story of perseverance that transcends cultures, time, and religion. Included are glass artist Laura Donefer's "Todesmarche Revisited" installation of cast glass and cement footprints, photographer Charlotte Schmitz's "Take me to Jermany" photographs capturing the faces and experiences of displaced Syrian refugees, and excerpts of multi-Emmy Award-winning filmmaker David Marshall's documentary Finding Home.

The exhibit will show Wed., Jan. 9-Thurs., Jan. 31 in the IUPUI Cultural Arts Gallery (420 University Blvd., Indianapolis).
