Support Community Needs on Giving Tuesday, Nov. 30

The Jewish community continues to navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic – more than 20 months after it began. As Thanksgiving approaches, one thing remains of steadfast importance—that the community is Stronger Together. The Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis (JFGI) and its partner agencies are truly grateful for the community’s generous support during these trying times.
JFGI will again participate in Giving Tuesday on Tuesday, Nov. 30. Giving Tuesday is a global movement that unleashes the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. Thanks to the support of the community, during last year's Giving Tuesday, funds were raised for Popsie's Pantry, exceeding the goal. Jewish Family Services and Popsie’s Pantry have and continue to provide vital services, and unfortunately see the growing need for assistance continuing for some time. Since the pandemic began, Popsie’s Pantry budget increased by 75 percent in 2020, an increase that has continued along with the pandemic into 2021.
The pandemic has impacted everyone in some way, including families in the community and partner agencies alike. As the pandemic continues, so do the increased needs of the Indianapolis community. To respond to these needs, for this Giving Tuesday, the Federation is again asking the community to make contributions through the Annual Campaign to support these increased and ongoing needs. When you make a contribution to the Federation’s Annual Campaign, your direct support will help address important needs throughout the community. With your continued and generous support, the community’s institutions will be able to continue serving the community and those needing assistance through the end of this pandemic and beyond.
On Nov. 30, you will see a series of social media posts with prime examples of how your Giving Tuesday donations help the community. Any dollar amount helps, no matter the size.
Please consider joining the Federation for this Giving Tuesday movement and help make a difference right here in the Indianapolis community.
