The Federation is proud to announce a new partnership with the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, LIFE & LEGACY PLUS. Greater Indianapolis was selected as one of the first communities for this national effort to further enhance legacy donor engagement across the Federation, partner agencies and organizations. While the Federation continues to Imagine Tomorrow through its Annual Campaign, LIFE & LEGACY PLUS offers the Federation and its partners critical resources to secure tomorrow through an increased emphasis on planned gifts. The program will begin in partnership with the following organizations*:

• Chabad Lubovitch of Indiana
• Congregation Beth-El Zedeck
• Congregation Shaarey Tefilla
• Hasten Hebrew Academy of Indianapolis
• Hooverwood Living
• Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation
• Arthur M. Glick JCC Indianapolis
• Indianapolis Jewish Community Relations Council
• Jewish Family Services

LIFE & LEGACY PLUS allows each participating organization to set goals which meet their unique needs related to planned giving and endowment building, all while increasing collaboration across the community. This program enables organizations to engage in more meaningful conversations about the future of the community overall, identifying the areas of greatest passion and need while working together to sustain Indianapolis’ Jewish community for generations to come.

What does this mean for our community members? It means thousands of people who support these organizations will have more opportunity, resources and guidance to achieve their philanthropic goals. It means the 500+ individuals who have already made legacy gifts to these organizations can review or supplement their gifts to support organizations which matter most to them. And it means individuals can share the story behind their gift through the Jewish Community Book of Life.

Legacy giving allows people to ensure their values, experiences and priorities are passed on l’dor v’dor, from generation to generation. LIFE & LEGACY PLUS will bring our community closer together and will promote a more unified and sustainable vision for the future of the Indianapolis Jewish community.
