According to The Indiana Department of Health, Hoosiers age 80 and older are now eligible to register for a free COVID-19 vaccine. This group of individuals became eligible at 9 a.m. today, Friday, Jan. 8.

The vaccine will first be offered to those 80 and older, followed at a later date by those in their 70s and 60s as supplies allow.

There are three ways to register.

  • Go online to ourshot.in.gov, search for a nearby vaccine clinic and select an appointment time.
  • A caregiver or loved one may make an appointment on a resident’s behalf.
  • Make an appointment by calling 211.

Appointments for the second dose will be made at the clinic when the first dose is administered. Residents must receive their second dose at the same location.
