How long have you lived in Indianapolis? 30 years
Describe yourself in 100 words or less: I am a mother, wife, daughter and friend. I love adventure and trying new experiences. I travel whenever the opportunity presents itself. I love a great meal, preferably cooked by someone other than myself. I enjoy playing tennis, staying active and spending time with those I love.
How do you give back? I have always believed in giving back to the community that has provided myself and my family a new beginning 30 years ago. In the moment most of my giving back is through HHAI. I believe in providing my children with a strong Jewish upbringing and that begins when they are young. Additionally, I'm in my final year of NYLC. I'm also currently the co-chair of a JFS program called Birthday Club.
Celebrity Doppleganger: Mila Kunis
Who is a Jew who inspires you? Golda Meir
How do you envision the Indianapolis Jewish community in the next 10 years? I hope we do more programming for my generation. Back in the day I was involved in YLD/ NextGen but once you have kids those programs aren't geared towards you. Then we attended programs for lions and older generation and it seems like nothing directed at those in 30's/ 40's. I think this is a huge community we need to engage otherwise they will find other meaningful organizations outside of the Jewish community. I hope we can work together as a community where temples, JCC, Federation, JFS and HHAI are seen as one community versus fighting for the same volunteer time and money.
What is one thing you look forward to as we come out of this Pandemic? Socializing and traveling abroad
What is your proudest accomplishment in the past 10 years? Becoming a parent
Any advice for younger professionals? Do what you enjoy doing on a daily basis otherwise you'll hate your job
